This poem is from a GIBSON sympathy card titled 'A BETTER PLACE' Author unknown

There's a place I've never seen beyond this world we know.
A place I've only heard of but someday hope to go -
It's not on any map, there are no roads to take me there.
But it's a place of perfect peace where hearts are free from care.
And though I understand some may be saddened when I leave,
One day, we all will meet again - thats what I beleive...
When it's time to travel there, I think I'll wear a smile,
I'll say good-bye to those I love,
But only for a while.
Knowing there are others who have traveled there alone,
Who cannot wait to greet me and to whisper "WELCOME HOME."

THANK YOU, Mary Anne, for sending this to me.

FATHER GOD, THANK YOU for letting me share lo these many years with a wonderful loving brother, My brother, JOHNNIE CRUMB. Words fail me now as I try to convey to you just how much I loved and will miss him. Great comfort comes in the realization that he is at home now with the LORD and his parents, two brothers, and two sisters and a beautiful baby daughter. He is greatly LOVED and will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his devoted and wonderful wife, Josephine. My prayers are with you and Ron, Rena and Steven as you continue on your life journey. Much love to you always, your loving sister Murphy

Jo our Thoughts and Prayers are with you and the kids and the grandkids at this time of loss.
We pray for God to give you the strength and comfort your hearts need to get you through this troubling time. We have always thought so much of you both and what good people you are and have been to Karen over the years.
We have always said that our grandkids has kept him going because when they were moved back to Tenn, Johnnie called wanting them to come back, he couldn't stand it without them. You both are good grandparents and good people and We love you and your family. May God Bless You All.

How do you say goodbye to a man that was not just THE BEST Father-in-Law a daughter-in-law could have but over the past 20 years became my second Dad. Johhnie Crumb has been part of my life since I was 15 years old and I am so glad that I had him in my life.
He has been the greatest Papaw to the kids and always has. Johnnie always told Jo that he would claim me and that I was his favorite but to hear him say that or to say I was his daughter became an honor, because I was so scared of the man in my teenage years and this just gave Johnnie Crumb a purpose to know that I was scared to death of him. I would have never dreamed back then how close we would become and how much of an influence Johnnie and Josephine would become in my life. I would like to say Thank You specifically to RON, RENA, and STEVEN and most of all to MAMA JO for including me as Johnnie Crumb's daughter.
You are a truly unique family and very special in everyway. Not only do you still claim me as family but you excepted John in as family too and we both Love you all.
I know that Johnnie is in Heaven and until one day when we meet again. I have to give Johnnie the pleasure of me signing this as his favorite nickname for me so here goes... RIP or RED HEADED RIP got to love him because you never knew what he was going to say...I love you Johhnie and I will MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!! Your Daughter,

The Little “Sojer”

No more sunshine,
No more rain,
No more sadness,
No more pain.
Mama’s little “sojer” went home…

No more worries,
No more stress,
Cause now he’s resting with the blest.
Mama’s little “sojer” went home…

He fought the good fight to stay here;
His strength of body grew weak.
We had to tell you to go on home –
Although we knew out hearts would break.

He left us all in sadness,
But at Heaven’s Gate greeted with joy
Mama and all his love ones
Welcoming home the little “sojer” boy.

For my little brother…

Your sis - Georgia

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

"He only takes the Best"

God saw he was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around him
and whispered, "come with me".

With tear filled eyes we watched him
suffer and fade away.
Although we loved him deeply
we could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the BEST.

I LOVE YOU DADDY

Everyday there will be something to remind us of him. to me he was a funny man and Good father and was one of the best papaw's his grand kids could ever have.John & I will miss him too! Words can never ever be expressed to you to make the pain all go away! Sometimes the pain is felt because we loved him soooooooooooo much, and we will miss him, sometimes the pain is there because of guilt..???? BUT it doesn't do any good to feel a whole lot of WHAT IF"S. today and yesterday are gone and can not be brought back!!Pick up the pieces and go on,Remember the good times,I am sure they out number the bad ones.Laugh when you think of something Johnnie did to make you mad.and go from there---- because I am sure you got even LOL LOL.... There was no doubt, not even the slightest bit of love he loved you kids and Joe.When it came to helping you out he was there- so was Joe... they are just that kind of persons.he thought the world of his grand kids. God will provide the strength you all need to go on with as each day comes.. On the days that you all feel you cant go on those days will be the days God will carry you!!! Words seem easy for others to say to you now but as time goes on it will be a daily task to keep on keeping on it will get better the pain will ease and although you will feel that you never want to forget, and we don't want to forget the people we love we just want to forget the pain, and you will it just takes time, right now even john and i can,t be ther in body we are there in our spirit and prayers and going up for each family member that Johnnie has!!!!!!!!!!!!! we promise!!
