Dirk Knipe Obituary
Known for his adventurous spirit, Dirk will be remembered for his daredevil feat rappelling the Hoover Dam and making national news in 1982. He loved theatre, football, baseball, and the Rolling Stones, but most of all he was a loving father, brother and son.
He is survived by his daughter, Angelique Knipe; his son, Alec Knipe; his grandchildren, Lieve and Sam Claessen; his mother, Marina A. Rogin; his stepfather, James Rogin; his siblings, Sherry Pisacano, Joseph Scott Knipe, and Dawn Knipe; his stepsiblings, James Rogin, John Rogin and Kathy Melvin; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 5, 2014, at Torbert Funeral Home, 61 S. Bradford Street in Dover, where friends may call from 11:00 - 12:00 before the service.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.

I will miss Dirk's wonderful sense of humor and the excitement he could bring to the most mundane aspects of life. He was a treasure trove of fun. Rest in peace Dirk and know you will be missed.
