Muriel Joan Vorrath

Muriel Joan Vorrath, 71, a lifelong resident of Dundalk, MD, passed away on November 1, 2016. Muriel was the loving daughter of the late Martin and Rosie Vorrath, sister of Ronald Smith who pre-deceased her. Muriel is survived by her brother, Aubrey Smith and his wife Beverly of Churchville, and sister-in-law Ellen Smith of Dundalk; two nephews and one niece, Allan Smith and his wife Deborah of Rosedale, Annslie Shipley and her husband Michael of Gilbertsville, PA, Todd Smith and his wife Shari of Dundalk. Muriel is also survived by eight grand nephews and nieces: Steven, Scott and Tyler Smith, Genevieve Sutton, Collin and Trevor Shipley, Laurel Pszcolka and Timothy Smith.
Muriel retired from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after 15 years of service in 2010. She was active in the Dundalk community and volunteered for many years at the annual Watersedge Festival where she ran the money wheel. Muriel was an avid flower and vegetable gardener, a talented artist and dog lover.
