Sigrid KLOEVER Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Sigrid Kloever announces the passing of our beloved wife and mother on April 8, 2018, at the age of 88 years old.
Sigrid was born in Oldenburg, Germany on November 18, 1929 and with her husband, immigrated to Canada in 1953 where she dedicated her life to nurture a love-filled life for her family and her children.
Her life's greatest joy was the birth of her daughter Susan, who was born on Sigrid's birthday in 1963, and her life's greatest sadness was Susan's passing in 1986 at the age of 22.
She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of nearly 65 years, Gunter, and sons Norman (Meseret) and Thomas.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Station 44 at the Grey Nuns Hospital for their compassion and care they provided for her during the last weeks of her time with us.
A Celebration of Sigrid's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 11223 – 51 Avenue NW Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alberta, NWT & Nunavut (5241 Calgary Trail NW, Suite 144
Edmonton, Alberta T6H 5G8) in her honour, or to a charity of your choice.

We are so sorry to hear about Sigrid's passing. She was a steady and supportive friend to our family. I remember meeting her in Regina so many years ago . I have fond memories of those days and of meeting such a kind hearted person.

I had the pleasure, Gunter + Sigrid, of teaching piano to one of your life's greatest treasure! Thank you for entrusting me to teach your daughter Susan. Thank you also to Gunter and Sigrid for being such wonderful friends with my Mom and Dad (Jack + Esther Larson) and faithful servants of the church (Holy Spirit). Mrs Kloever will be fondly remembered as a wonderful neighbour, generous hostess and a kind and gentle woman. She will be sadly missed by many. She and Susan will be enjoying a long awaited warm embrace.
