Phillpott family!
Our sincere condolences to you all,Joshua will be dearly missed. He always made the effort to stop & stay with us in Airdrie last few years and made our wedding in Kelowna 23 years ago! We met him in St Paul with my brother & sister-in law, Randy & Violet. He was a very loving & generous man always going out of his way to serve where God has called him.I know he is resting in our heavenly Father's arms, & our Lord is saying "Well done, good & faithful servant!"

I was a neighbour of Joshua's and was just amazed by his kindness and generosity. In the summer, he was often seen in his neighbours' gardens, using his big rototiller to turn up the soil. He did our garden more than once. One year, he even staked my tomatoes and pruned my apple trees. I looked outside my window and there he was, working away in his helmet and goggles (he was very safety conscious). I wish I'd had more opportunities to get to know him. What a lovely man.

In my life, I have met few people as magnanimous as Father Joshua. He will be dearly missed by the many individuals to whom he has been a role model, a friend, and a gift for so many years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

To Joshua's family
Your father was a great friend to our Dad, Charles Toogood, a senior at both Riverbend and Kipnes Centre. He always found time to be with Dad and he did a wonderful very meaningful memorial service when Dad passed away last October at age 105. We are so grateful for his care, kindness and fun over the years. His passing is a great loss to our community. Thinking of you at this difficult time.

Dear Margaret and Brittany,
I was so sorry to read of your dear Dad's /Granddad's passing. Joshua was such a kind and gentle man, ever thinking of others and putting them before himself. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate today a life well lived. I loved meeting him at the cathedral and on the few occasions when he took a service at St. George's church in Devon. I will miss him and will be praying for you all.
Wishing you love and God's blessings at this hard time and always.

My condolences to your families. I only met your Dad a couple of times when he came out to our tiny church in Millet as a guest minister. His warmth and love of God shone through like a bright light. I always wished he would have been available to minister to our small congregation on a regular basis. May God bless each of you.

To Margaret, Kathleen, Andrew and family. I am so sorry to hear of your father's death. He was so loved by the Ross and Freda Henry family...in fact he called my dad Henry the VIII,! Us 'Kids', Heather, Stuart, Angela and I and our families thought the world of him. He was always there when we needed him. I don't think I ever heard him complain or say an ill word about anyone. He loved you all and your mother dearly.
He's the only one I ever had to my home for a turkey dinner that didn't like turkey!! Peace be with you.

We knew Rev. Phillpotts only a short time but he was always gracious and welcoming. In fact on our first meeting, he gave me a big hug, which I very much appreciated. He is a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our most sincere condolences to his family. Richard and Tannas McLaughlin

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Joshua. I knew him when he came to the Yukon in the 60's and always cherished him as a friend. He was recently in Whitehorse and I had the pleasure and opportunity of visiting him for an hour during which time we compared our lives over the past years. I was surprised that he had hardly changed at all from the 60's. A loss of a good man. Condolences to the family.

Our sincere condolences to the Phillpotts family. My father passed away last year after a brief few months at the Riverbend Retirement Residence. Joshua attended his funeral and said a lovely reading which we much appreciated at our time of sorrow. Rev. Phillpotts will be missed by all.

So sad to hear of Joshua's passing. I loved him so, as did our entire family. Such a lovely, caring, giving, generous man - the likes I've never seen before and likely never will again. We lost our Mom, Freda Henry, 4 months to the day that we have lost Joshua. He was not feeling well but it didn't keep him down and he was there to officiate and pay tribute to Mom at her service - it meant so much to us all. He did so very much for so very many people and left a path of love wherever he went.
Everyone he met was touched by him and I will miss him and his endless energy. As you all know, each and every one of you meant the world to him. He will live on in my memory forever.
