RITCHIE, Alvina Myrtle (formerly Barry, nee Loveseth) On July 4, 2005, Mrs. Alvina Ritchie of Edmonton passed away at the age of 88 years. Alvina is lovingly remembered by her four sons: Harold (Willie) Ritchie of Coquitlam, BC, Peter (Margaret) Barry of Calgary, Brian (Jan) Ritchie of Mulhurst Bay, AB and Art (Susan) Barry of Edmonton; two daughters: Lynda (Herb) Schultz of Edmonton and Lois (Dick) Elke of Coquitlam, BC; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; Alvina is also survived by her brother Loyd Loveseth of Edmonton, sister Betty-Anne Smith of Victoria, BC as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alvina was a long-time member of the Windermere Golf & Country Club, an avid bridge player and active member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for 33 years. Alvina was predeceased by her first husband Lawrence Barry in 1952 and her second husband Cam Ritchie in 1991, sister Joyce Sherbaniuk, parents Ella and Enoch Loveseth and sister-in-law Frances Loveseth. A celebration of Alvina's life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 11223-51 Ave., with Pastor Tim Posyluzny officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985-124 St., Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9. I'm sad to hear of Alvina's passing. I met her just a few short months ago as a new sister in PEO but felt such genuine warmth from her. She always had such heartfelt welcoming and parting hugs. I felt honored to have known her. My deepest condolences to your family. Most sincerely, Sheila Fynn
