Edward "Ted" David Jewell, 93 years of age, of Stony Plain, passed away April 19, 2013.
Born October 5, 1919, Ted lived a life filled with adventure, family and friends . A World War II Veteran, Ted was a member of the Weyburn Regiment and was sent to Dieppe, France. He has left a life of cherished memories for all who knew him. He will be remembered by his loving wife, Giesela; his sister, Peggy Brasseur (Sonny); his brother Gordon; his children Bill Popp (Sandra); Carol Johnston (Ken); Bob Jewell (Melissa Meyer); Harry Jewell (Jean); his stepchildren, Tom and Bruce Meckenhauser; Lorraine Laforce (Rob); 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren; good friends Henri and Lisa Laforce; as well as countless others.
Ted was predeceased by his parents Harry and Elizabeth Jewell; his brothers Roy, Harry and Frank; his first wife Verna; beautiful granddaughter Brandi Johnston and many dear and close friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 - 44 Avenue, Stony Plain on Friday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial tributes to Westview Health Center Continuing Care, 4405 South Park Drive, Stony Plain, AB., T7Z 2M7, would be greatly appreciated.
