Calvin SWENSON Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Cal on January 1, 2014 at the age of 65.
Cal will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lyn; his step- children, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Randy (Vicki), and numerous special cousins, nieces and nephews and their children.
He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Mabel, brother Ollie, sister Arvilla, infant sister Pearl, stepdaughter Cheri and nephew Shane. He was much loved and cherished by those who were part of his life. He was truly an honorable man and we shall miss him.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Services, 3502 44 Ave. Stony Plain, Alberta. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

I just heard of Cal's sudden death and was deeply saddened. Cal was one of the real true gentlemen in hockey. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Our sympathy to the Swenson family.Cal was a real gentleman and a man who always had a smile on his face.My Dad, Forrest, always had a story about Cal picking stones or roots and being the "field boss"with many younger kids.
I remember Cal as a Winnipeg Jet and when he had Bobby Hull on his wing!He will be missed.

Our sympathies go out to Cal's family. My wife and I attended nearly all of the hockey games in Amarillo, and knew him well. I was one of the police officers who worked the games, and my wife and family were in the crowd every night. Again, condolences.

Randy - our sympathies are with you and all of your family. Our memories of our times in Naicam will be there forever. When it came to hockey Cal was our hero! I last saw him at Candle Lake two or three years ago and it was great to catch up with him. Our thoughts are with you.
