To all the family of Mr. Joe's, I'd like to say you were so blessed to have him in your life. Don't really know much of him when he was younger, but as a past neighbor of mine, he will be missed. I loved Mr. Joe. I loved his wife Shirley also. I lived in front of them in El Paso for many years, and when Shirley was ill, I would go with her to the Cancer Treatment Center for support group meetings. She was such a wonderful person to me. I was glad I was able to have the time with her I did. Mr. Joe had moved soon after his wife passed and I was so sad. Something great happened to me one day when I was at an Adult Foster Care visiting a lady friend of mine, and the wonderful thing was.....There sit Mr. Joe. He at that time remembered me, I think. For a long time, when I would go visit my lady friend, I always let Mr. Joe know I knew him and he was "My" neighbor. Also glad I spent the time with him that I did. He loved his children and was always proud to talk about them, and also the grandchildren. May God be with the family during this very sad time. May God give you strength in knowing Mr. Joe is where we haven't been yet, and that should always bring peace to you. I love you Mr. Joe and as long as I live in front of your house, it will always be yours to me.
