JOSE ORTEGA Obituary

Jose Victoriano "Lalo" Ortega left this earth to join our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the young age of 93. Lalo was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalena Ortega, his parents, Berardo and Jesusita Ortega, and sisters, Maria Luz Aguilar and Josephina Montoya. He is survived by his siblings, Maria "Chita" Ortega (Johnny) with whom he lived with for 30 years, Aurora Barcena (Raul†), and brother, Oscar Ortega (Martha). He was involved in the lives of many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Visitation will be held at San Francisco Xavier Church, 519 S. Latta St., El Paso, Texas, on Friday, February 17, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. also at San Francisco Xavier Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Miranda, Jr., Paul Aguilar, John Aguilar, Eddie Miranda, Sr., Arturo Montoya, Alfredo Aguilar, Joseph Barcena, and David Ortega. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Aguilar and Melissa Miranda. The family wishes to thank the doctors and the staff of University Medical Center for their professionalism and their words of encouragement.
