Grandpa...
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Chavez Family. To those of us who knew Chencho we knew him as a great husband to his loving wife “La Guera”. Chencho was a great father to his sons and daughter, and a great grandfather to his grandchildren. Chencho was many things but to us he was a great friend. We shared a part of your life and I recall certain times like the times at your son in law’s house with your daughter Pat and son in law Enrique. I recall sharing the best tequila shots ever with you. Now it’s sad for me to say that you are gone, but I assure you not forgotten as you will be remembered greatly. I believe that you and my father will be watching over all of us and Chencho just know that it was an honor to have known you.
We Salute You,
Frosty and Mary Mares
