Kory, you are in God's hands now, and my deepest condolences go out to your loved ones and family members.
Kory, you were my childhood best friend... I remember asking your sister if her name was spelled "Keira" because our names were similar. We met in the 1st grade, and were best friends all the way through until middle-school when we went different ways.
But, when I was growing up as a kid, I remember that no one was as fun to hang out with - just you and Chad. You both were my best buddies, and equally, we were mischievous and often "brats" as kids, and then we grew up and went our ways. We'll all, always remember how funny you were, how much of a joy it was to hang out, and I loved your family so much -- a refuge and a respite, both your mother and father poured so much generosity into our lives, and will always be remembered for their loving kindness as well.
My deepest sympathies go to your family. You were truly a brother to me, and I always will remember how we shared life together from Asbury Elementary School, to hanging out all the time, riding bikes to Dairy Queen on 26th St., and riding bikes around everywhere... going trick-or-treating on Halloween's as kids... I'm so grieved to hear you have departed, but at the same time, you're at peace now.
Your sister, Kira, also -- I remember from Asbury all the way up through High School, from Algebra class, to Economics with you before graduation in 2004 at McDowell... even when I transferred from Walnut Creek Middle School, to Westlake -- I remember those days, I was actually concerned that you might have "changed" too much -- and that we had lost touch. But we became friends still, and though we had our differences, we always had our childhood friendship as an anchor and good memory to look back on.
Although we all went separate ways, you were and always will be the best friend I remember from childhood. You are deeply missed and loved by so many. May God bless your family and those who mourn and grieve. You are deeply missed my friend, and my brother. Peace.

I met Kory at McDowell, we were in the same class. He had many friends and always walked around with a smile on his face. Although I haven't seen or spoke to Kory in a long time, I'm deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I know how much he was loved.
