Eleanor Tryzbiak Obituary


Eleanor May Boothby Tryzbiak, age 89, of Waterford, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Springfield Township, Erie County, on May 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Clarence and Viola Gasch Boothby.

Eleanor worked at Elgin Electronics, Super Duper, and Earl Brace and Son Farms. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and working in her spectacular flower garden. She also was known for always remembering someone's birthday and anniversary date and always asking "what can I do to help you?"

She was preceded in death by her husband Alex Tryzbiak of 56 years and one granddaughter Mallory Tryzbiak, and two brothers: Warren and Elden Boothby.

She is survived by two sons Ken Tryzbiak and his wife Roberta of Waterford and Richard Tryzbiak and his husband Charles Corritore of Erie, one daughter Connie Stevenson and her husband Bruce of Victor, N.Y., five grandchildren: Blake Stevenson (Sofia) of Rochester, N.Y., Brandon Tryzbiak (Celia) of San Diego, Calif., Craig Tryzbiak (Brittany) of Fayetteville, N.C., Whitney Stevenson of Victor, N.Y., and Ryan Tryzbiak of Chicago, Ill., two great-grandchildren: Lillian and Cira, one sister Betty Reese of Girard, her best friend for over 65 years Alice Pasiewcznik, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Erie Playhouse, 13 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16501, or to the Perry Highway Hose Company, 501 Robison Rd., Erie, PA 16509.
