Julia A. Aranyos

Julia A. Aranyos, 88, of Cranesville, passed away at her home, on Monday, June 22, 2015.

She was born on April 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Sandor and Pauline (Lazorik) Aranyos.

Julia attended Bowmantown Grade School and graduated from Albion High School. After graduating, she went to work for Girard Manufacturing, where she worked for many years as an assembler. She later worked at Sunnyside Home for girls as a Matron.

She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church, and was a member of their Altar Society. She was also a member of the Cranesville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the West Co. Paramedic Auxiliary, Girard American Legion #494 Auxiliary, and served as their former Chaplain. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin infant sisters, Mary and Pauline Aranyos; her sister, Ann Exley; and brothers, Alexander, Andrew, John and Charles Aranyos.

She is survived by one niece, Paula Reinhart and her husband, Larry of Cranesville; one nephew, Andrew Aranyos and his wife, Bonnie of Girard; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a favorite Godson, Victor Wheeler (Sandra) of Girard.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard.

Services will be held privately by Julia's family.
