Margaret Clemens Marcum Crawford

Margaret Clemens Marcum Crawford, age 97, of Erie, died Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Millcreek Community Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born August 19, 1913, in Erie, a daughter of the late Harry N. and Mary C. "Catherine" Clarke Clemens. She had owned and operated Crawford Dry Cleaners. She was an active member of the Cascade United Methodist Church and a member of the Westminster Garden Club. She had delivered Meals on Wheels and was an avid traveler. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Marcum; her second husband, Robert J. Crawford; three brothers, Harrison N. Clemens, Richard Clemens and William T. Clemens; and four sisters, Catherine E. Rehm, Marion Allamon, Helen V. Taylor and Frances Clemens; and a grandson, Neal Loeslein. She is survived by one daughter, Shirley M. Loeslein and her husband, Raymond, of Fairview, Pa.; and one son, David L. Marcum, of Erie. Also surviving are six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a committal service at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday at 12 Noon.
