Jean Hoag Obituary
Jean (Price) Hoag, 74, of Platea, passed away peacefully, at home, on Thursday, May 5, 2016, after a lengthy illness. Jean was born on March 11, 1942, in Spangler, Pa., daughter of the late Albert and Emily Thompson Price. Jean was a member of the Albion Assembly of God Church,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hoag on June 14, 2013; by a son, Richard Hoag, Jr. on June 1, 2008; and by a sister, Nancy Hawkins.
She is survived by her children, Robert Hoag, Platea, Peggy (Jerry) Skelton, Erie, Karen (Roger) McMillen, Albion and Candy (Jim) Horvath, Albion; three grandson, JC Horvath, Matt Horvath and Joey McMillen; two granddaughters, Tanya (Danny) Burke, Haverhill, Mass. and Kim Skelton and her fiancé Dave Hahn of Erie; and a brother, William (Liz) Price, Erie.
Friends may call at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Allan Thorpe, officiating. Your mother has always been a warm ray of sunshine. To this day every time I think of her my heart smiles. I have never met a more selfless loving person.
