Michael Onest Obituary
Michael "Mickey" Onest, 72, of Cranesville, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born on November 23, 1942, in Cranesville, son of the late Dennis and Anna (Jafko) Onest.
Mickey graduated from Northwestern High School, and retired from GE in Erie. He enjoyed hunting and rooting for the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patti" Onest, two stepdaughters, Destine Baumann and Bruce, of Erie and Dori Cirelli and her fiancé, Mark, of New Jersey, a daughter-in-law, Leisa Letto of Erie, a sister, Eleanor Krause and her husband, Paul, of Greenville, Pa., three brothers, Joe Onest of Ohio, John Onest and his wife, Lois, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Stephen Onest of Fairview, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being handled privately by the family, through the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion.
