Marjorie Jones Obituary
She was born in Conneaut, Ohio, on May 20, 1946, a daughter of the late William and Sadie Griffis Murkens.
After graduating from Northwestern High School in 1965, she married Thomas Jones and raised her family. From time to time, Marge work for various restaurants including the former Pie Factory, H and K Donuts and The Green Shingle Truck Stop. In later years, she enjoyed working with crafts of all kinds, with much creativity.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, William P. Murkens Jr. and George Murkens, along with a sister, Lois Kramer.
Along with her husband, she leaves three children, Beverly Clement (Joe) of Lake City, Pa., Christine Jones (Kevin Williams) of Erie and Thomas Jones II of Geneva, Ohio. Five grandchildren, along with six great-grandchildren also remain, along with sisters, Gloria Kahala of Girard, Pa. and Carole Campbell (Richard) of Kingsville, Ohio. A brother, Donnie McGahey of Ripley, N.Y. also survives, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were private for the family and under the care of Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main East, Girard, PA 16417. Memorials may be made to The Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505. Send condolences at www.Burtonfuneralhome.com.
