Richard Anthony Savelli

1944 - 2017

Richard Anthony Savelli, 73, of Edinboro, Pa., passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Sarah Reed, after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Rich was born in Erie, Pa., on September 26, 1944, as the son of the late Richard and Lucille Savelli.

Rich was a passionate man who enjoyed automotive work. He was the owner of Rich's Auto Body and Erie Motor Car for the majority of his working career before retiring in 2008. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, coin collecting, muscle cars, traveling to his winter home in Florida, and spending time with family, friends, and his loving dog, Rudy.

Rich was extremely proud of his three sons, David Savelli, of Erie, Pa., Daniel Savelli, of Fairfield, Calif., and Rick Savelli, of San Diego, Calif. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Justus, Maysun, Dawson and Declan; two sisters, Kate Luther, of Waterford, Pa. and Donna Babe of Erie, Pa.; his companion, Mary Lyons of Edinboro, Pa.; Mary's two children, John Lyons of Erie, Pa. and Mike Lyons of Albion, Pa.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

At Rich's request, no calling hours will be observed.
