Joseph "Pep" Comi

Joseph "Pep" Comi, age 89, of Erie, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at Erie Presbyterian Lodge. He was born July 8, 1923 in Erie, a son of the late Joseph and Rose DiSarro Comi. He had worked for the City of Erie, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa M. Perry Comi; three brothers, Anthony, John and Dominick Comi; and eight sisters, Grace Euliano, Jay Venturini, Antoinette Valerio, Margaret Chiffalo, Janet Valerio, Rose Comi, Mary Sementelli and Machina Sementelli. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Bell of Erie and Linda Markham and her husband Dennis of Sheffield, Pa.; two sons, Dominick Comi and his wife Susan, and Ron Comi and his wife Colleen, all of Erie; one brother Armand Comi of Erie; seven grandchildren, Sara, Dominick, Deborah, Lauren, Leslie, and Ron Comi and Mary Ryan and her husband, Bob; and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Anthony and Gianni Comi. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass at St. Paul's RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
