Patrick Dimperio Obituary
Patrick J. Dimperio, age 78, of Erie, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015, at UPMC Hamot, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Erie on April 2, 1936, a son of the late Michael and Agnes (Iker) Dimperio.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in the Army Reserves. Patrick was an assembler at Smith Meter for 29 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and a past usher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Patrick was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a former President of the Golden Hearts. He loved woodworking, music of all kinds, especially playing his harmonica, bowling, walking and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Dimperio.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda L. (Head) Dimperio; three daughters, Christine Dimperio, Lisa Bellotti, and Ruth Ann Arndt, husband Dan, all of Erie; one son, Andrew Dimperio, wife Emily, of Erie; six grandchildren, Nicole, Monique, Rachelle, Mandy, Brianna, and Bode; and three great-grandchildren; one brother, James Dimperio, wife Chris, of Erie; a sister-in-law, Kay Dimperio, of Erie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd., on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., and may attend a prayer service there Friday at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Linda and family, I am so sorry for your loss. We know Pat is in heaven the minute he closed his eyes. I am very thankful for Pat being a surrogate grandpa to Mike and Jimmy and the patience he tried to teach them. I wish I could be there to give you a hug but unfortunately I am in Florida!
