Rebecca Fee Hunt-Taylor

Rebecca Fee Hunt-Taylor, age 83, of W. Springfield, passed away quietly at home on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from complications of cancer.

She was born in Pittsburgh, on July 12, 1933, a daughter of the late Dwight and Naomi Brockman Fee.

Rebecca graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School (Pa.) in 1951. She attended nursing school at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh and graduated in 1954.

She was married and was a mother to six children. When her children were older, Rebecca went to work as a registered nurse. She held many nursing positions in four different states, including California, Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Rebecca would say that, "Pets were her passion." She showed a kind and gentle spirit to animals. Her pets included a skunk, dogs, cats, mice, cows, and birds. Most recently, she had a special relationship with her rescue dog, "William".

Rebecca will always be known for her amazing sense of humor and sharp wit. A woman full of gratitude and love who shared unconditional love and taught everyone who knew her how to be grateful for everything, and never expect anything in return. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Taylor, at age eight, in a farm accident; her brothers, William W. Fee and David A. Fee; a sister, Sara P. Walters.

Rebecca is survived by her children: Rebecca Lucille Wolf and Harold Arthur Taylor, both of Erie, Richard Michael Taylor (Kay) of Detroit, Mich., Nancy Lou Taylor (Doug) of W. Springfield, Pa., and Alexander Dwight Taylor (Ginny) of Madison, Ala.; two sisters: Elizabeth Bates of Danville, Pa. and Margaret Kosakoski of Florida; a brother, Dwight H. Fee (Mary Jo). She is further survived by 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at later date.
