I remember Bob from his days at th4 Ninth Coast Guard District HQ in Cleveland, OH. I was a junior petty officer and Bob was senior to me. He was always there to answer any questions I had and always made me feel his equal. I even spent some time at his family's Florida residence when we attended a Coast Guard wide golf tournament. My sincere condolences to his loved ones. RIP shipmate. Smooth sailing.

I too was saddened to hear about Bob's passing. I met him when we served together at Ninth Coast Guard District Headquarters. Though we lost touch with each other over the years, I'll always remember the fun the gang had at the Ninth. We took a few ski trips to NY and just had a good time. Bye Bob. You are missed.

I know I am late with my message but I served with Bob on Governors Island in the early 1990's as an inspector. We shared an admiration of Roy Orbison and the camaraderie that came with being a CWO. A couple of times we switched inspections because either myself or Bob just "didn't want to go there." And the division officer would OK our "deals"....he was always bright and had a sense of humor that was out of this world. Like Bob, I too am a long suffering fan of the Cleveland Browns (ugh)....Here's to you sailor "FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS" As a fellow CWO I know you will be missed

We are so sorry for your loss and pray that your sadness will fade away. He was a good man and a good grandfather to his sweet grandsons. You have many happy memories to hold on to and know that he is smiling down on you and keeping watch. Your pain at this time will fade, but your memories will be with you forever. Love always, The Miller Family.

Rest In Peace Uncle Bob. He was so kind to me when I spent some time with him, Aunt Ann, and my cousins in New Hampshire, and good ole' Governor's Island. I'm glad I was able to see him a few years ago at the walk in NYC for ALS with his siblings and their families, and my sweet cousins. I'll never forget how much he loved his children! When they were little, all under the age of five, he would come home from work so excited to see them and they would go running and hide so that he could find them. There were lots of screams and tickling and joyful play time when their dad got home! He will forever be missed. Love you John, Caroline, Colleen, and Mary. ❤ Love, Tracy

How sad to lose Bob, a member of the 'tribe' we grew up with. Bob always had a smile and a gentleness about him. Please know that all of the Walkers are thinking of all of the Tredways during this very sad time.

To all the Tredway family,
My deepest condolences on the passing of Bobby. We grew up together in Erie. One of my fondest memories is when we attended Mr. Uhl's dancing school at the Y as youngsters. He was always full of laughter and fun.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sorrowful time.
