Your father knew my father, John A. Gump, when they were young. Rev. Karns sent the copy of their high school paper to me just a couple of years ago. I would have enjoyed talking with him about their childhood. My father died in 1975. Your father was so kind to send me the information. I didn't know a lot about my father.

Melinda,

I am saddened by the death of your Dad. I remember him well as we were members of St. John's although it seems like it was a thousand years ago. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
