Connie Masenheimer Obituary

HANOVER Connie Rose Morela Masenheimer, 68, entered into God's eternal care Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Hanover Hospital. Born April 28, 1943, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. Morela, Sr. and Mary L. Treadway Morela. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, York St., and was employed by Hanover Foods Corporation. Ms. Masenheimer was a member of the Hanover Eagles Aerie #14. She enjoyed shopping, attending yard sales and collecting dolls. She will be remembered as a hard-working and dedicated employee, an Elvis Presley fan, and most importantly for being a loving and dedicated mother. Survivors include her three children, William David Hoffman, Jr., Scott D. Hoffman and his wife, Lisa, and Melissa Masenheimer Shaffer and her husband, Tyler, all of Hanover; three brothers, Samuel A. Morela, Jr., Carmen Morela, and Fred Morela, all of Hanover; four grandchildren, Kelsey Hoffman, Katelyn Hoffman, Natasha Lynn Hoffman, and Tiffany Kay Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, with her pastor, The Rev. Tina Minnich, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403. Missy,

My memories of Connie are from when I was a little girl. I remember going to her house and she had big hair and was always so nice to me. I know she was loved and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her family.
