Thomas Drummond Obituary

Thomas Edward Drummond was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on April 3, 1945, and died peacefully at his ranch home, west of Pawhuska, Oklahoma on February 10, 2012. He attended high school at New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell, New Mexico, received his B.B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma, followed by his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from University of Tulsa. He earned the Bronze Star for meritorious service as a Second Lieutenant in the Army, serving in Vietnam from 1967 to1968.
He is predeceased by his parents, Ruth & Fred Drummond, his sister, Patricia Drummond Bilyeu, and his wife, Marie Heisley Drummond. He is survived by his wife, Ginny Drummond, his brother, Charles R. Drummond, his three children, Kimberly Thomas of Houston, Holly Anderson of Oklahoma City, & Thatcher Drummond of Pawhuska, and step children, Matthew Heisley of Dallas, and Jennifer Heisley of Tulsa. Family was very important to him, and he was a wonderful grandfather to 16 grandchildren.
He was a rancher, attorney, and banker, who liked to say that he practiced the "3 P's" - punching cows, practicing law, and pounding the pavement in between. Tom has been actively involved in the Osage County, Oklahoma, and National Cattlemen's Associations, Director of Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raiser's Association, and Commissioner on the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission.
Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service on Tuesday, February 14, 12 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 101 East 12th Street, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, followed by a graveside service at the Drummond Family Cemetery, west of Pawhuska.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to First Presbyterian Church of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, or a charity of your choice, in the name of Thomas E. Drummond.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. It's comforting to know that God cares for all of us and losing a loved one is something we cannot get use to. The Bible gives us hope that one day we can see our dear loved one again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrender his soul for many. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” Truly I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.
