Quincy Montgomery Obituary
Quincy graduated Childers School in 1947. He attended Coffeyville Junior College for 2 years, followed by Oklahoma A & M (OSU), where he graduated in 1951. After graduation he was married to Etta Jo Riley on May 24, 1952 in Delaware, Oklahoma. Quincy served in the United States Army for two years. After being honorably discharged, Quincy worked for Boeing Airlines. Quincy moved to Bartlesville, OK in 1955 where he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company until he retired in 1985. Quincy was very active at the First Christian Church where he was the Sunday School Superintendent for 40 years and he enjoyed playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and his oldest son, Michael Wayne Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife Etta Jo Montgomery and 2 sons, Stephen Kent Montgomery and wife Cathy of Nowata, Okla., and Charles Ray Montgomery and wife Anita of Fayetteville, Arkansas, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are planned for 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kim Hames officiating. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
The Montgomery family will receive guests for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the charity of the donor's choice.
