Sherrin Smith Obituary

Sherrin Lee Schrandt Smith passed away on July 11th, after battling Parkinsonís disease for several years. She was preceded in death by her Father Fred E. Schrandt, and her Mother Rose M. Schrandt, of Southwest City, Missouri.
Sherrin was born July 17, 1947, in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School, attended Crowder Community College, graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Early Childhood Education. She taught pre-school
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Blattel of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Sarah Smith of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and her sister Sandra Churchwell of Grove, Oklahoma, her Aunt Margaret Beesley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Uncle Ed Swain of San Jose, California. She also leaves a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sherry was an artist. She loved all children, especially her nieces and nephews. She had special loving friends at Willow Rock apartments in Bartlesville. Thanks to caring staff at Forrest Manor Nursing Center in Dewey, Oklahoma, and to her cousin, Mary Jo Clark.
A private service for Sherry will be held on August 8th at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Flowers may be sent to St. Andrewís Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation in her name.
