Edna Viola Kreps

1925 - 2010

Mrs. Edna Viola (Grass) Kreps, 85, of Nowata, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on August 31, 2010, after an extended illness.
Edna was born in Sanger, California to Christian and Mary (Busch) Grass on April 12, 1925. She was the middle child in a family of six children. All of her siblings but her sister Mildred Smith preceded her in death. She married Billy Joe Kreps on January 28, 1946 in Richmond, California. They then moved to Oklahoma where they had homes in Bristow, Dewey and Bartlesville before moving to the country west of Nowata.
Edna is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Kreps of the home, two daughters, Carroll Craun and husband Paul of Nowata and Trina Resnick and husband Robert of Edmond, Okla., one son, Gary L. Kreps and wife Judy, of Derby, Kansas, one sister, Mildred Smith of Richmond, California, and grandchildren, Matthew Kreps and wife Sandy, Teri Kreps Clark and husband Chris, Robyn Resnick, Ryan Resnick and Riley Resnick and great grandchildren, Wyatt Kreps, Wesley Kreps, Hadley Clark and Grayson Clark.
A memorial services is scheduled for Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. It will be officiated by Pastor Don Simpson. Friends who wish may sign the memorial register book until 4 p.m. Friday at the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home in Nowata or at the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville.
