ASHBY -- Justin J. Fournier, 16, of Ashby, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Ashby State Road, Fitchburg from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

Justin was born in Canandaigua, New York, August 2, 1996, the son of Jonathan C. Fournier and Michelle B. (Hansen) Martens and resided in Woonsocket, Rhode Island before moving to Ashby. He was a member of the junior class at North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend. He had participated in the drama program there.

Justin recently joined the Ashby Fire Department as an Auxiliary Firefighter. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike, ATV riding, kayaking, and camping. Justin had played recreational basketball in the TAP program. He loved to be outdoors cutting and splitting firewood with his maternal grandparents and he loved his passion to play guitar with his paternal grandparents and shared their enthusiasm of cars especially mustangs.

Besides his father of Canandaigua, NY; he leaves his sister, Jasmine R. Martens of Ashby; a brother, Anthony B. Martens of Woonsocket, RI;; his paternal grandparents, Brian and Linda Fournier of Leominster; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Terry Hansen of Ashby, his maternal great-grandparents, Richard and Barbara Drinczyk of Fitchburg, and his paternal great-grandparents, Gerard and Beulah Veautour of Plymouth and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, a huge circle of very devoted friends.

FOURNIER -- Funeral services for both Shelli and Justin will be held 10 a.m., Monday, February 25th at the Ashby Congregational Church, 21 New Ipswich Rd., Ashby. Burial will be private.
