Ashlyn Allen Obituary
Miss Allen was born in Florence, a daughter of Mr. Michael Edwin Allen and the late Scarlette Jordan Allen. She was a member of the French Club of South Florence High School and a 10th grade honor student.
Surviving are her father of the home; stepmother, Lanora Hoffman Allen of the home; brothers, Landon Michael Allen and Barry James B.J. Sims Jr., both of Florence; sister, Jessica Elizabeth Sims of Florence; paternal grandparents, W. Ed Allen and Harriette Allen of Florence; maternal grandmother, Wanda Eskridge of Florence; maternal grandparents, Joe Tuten and Ruth Tuten of Hartsville; paternal great-grandparents, Richard C. Ham and Lucille Ham of Florence; maternal aunts, Kimberly Shay Jordan and her children, George Edward Gibson, Samuel Monroe Gibson and Lizzie Diane Gibson, all of Florence, and Velvette Jordan Panoz and her husband, Dominick and their son, Roger Anthony Panoz II, all of Hartsville; and a paternal uncle, Mark Stephen Allen of Florence.
Memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society, 1007 Stockade Road, Florence, SC 29506.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in The Church at Sandhurst. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the funeral home.

Hi. I knew Ashlyn pretty well. We have had numerous classes together and she was always a wonderful person to be around.I am devistated that this has happened, she was one of the best people you could know. I enjoyed having her as one of my closest friends. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Having taught Ashlyn, Landon, and their Aunt Shay in elementary school, I can say that I'm being flooded by many happy memories. I pray that you, too, will find comfort in those happy memories and in the knowledge that God will sustain you, through faith. Ashlyn was, indeed, a precious, loving, unassuming child. She was a pure delight.

Dear Allen Family, My daughter knew Ashlyn at SF and I just found out that "Ms. Wanda" is Ashlyn's grandmother (Wanda, you take care of my Nicholas at Briggs.) Your tragedy has touched us all and broken our hearts. We certainly can not comprehend your pain, but we do pray for your comfort. Dear Allen family,
I wish I could say I was a close friend of Ashlyn's, but I was not. I sat beside her in our Chemistry class and we were lab partners on occasion. She was quiet but very intelligent. I also had a ballet class with her. I envied her grace and beauty. She was an amazing person and she will be greatly missed. My sympathies and prayers are always with you.

I am so sorry to loose such an interesting, polite, and talented young student. I enjoyed having Ashlyn (Nadia- Elodie was her “French" name in class) in my classroom. She will be missed by me, her fellow classmates and friends in French class and French club. The Bruin family grieves with you.
