Beulah M. Menendez

Beulah M. Menendez - Deland - Beulah Mary "Blue" Menendez, 85, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 after a brief illness. Her passing was quiet and peaceful, under the watchful care of both the staff at Alliance Healthcare, and Hospice in DeLand, FL. Blue was born in St. Paul, MN on August 10, 1923, to Marianna and Roy Sudeith, where she grew up surrounded by her brother and sisters. As a young woman, Blue vacationed in Miami and decided to stay, where she soon met and married Manuel Joseph "Sonnie" Menendez, a Tampa native. He preceded her in death 15 years ago, after 50 years of sharing their lives with many of those moments on the dance floor together. Blue and Sonnie lived in Miami, Atlanta, and lastly, Titusville, since 1970. Surviving Blue are her daughter, Diana Picklesimer (Joe) of Bainbridge, GA; grandson, Ken Andrews, Windermere, FL; granddaughter, Dina Marie Andrews, Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Carey Shenal, Manassas, VA; great-grandchildren, Tiffanie, Kathryn and K.C. Andrews, Eden and Turner Shenal; sisters, Elaine Feider, St. Paul, MN, and Delores Sudeith, Harris, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews. Both her brother, Mel Sudeith of Vancouver Island,B.C. and Laverne Mattaini of St. Paul, MN, have passed on. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in her honor at St. Teresa Church, Titusville, Saturday, July 18th at 10 a.m.

The memory of her lively spirit,
artful hands, and dancing feet
will always be treasured.
