Juanita Melton Obituary
Titusville
Juanita Marie Melton, 67, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at UF Health Shands Hospital, Gainesville, FL. She was born in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI to Russell and Mayme Melton. She moved to Titusville in 1965 and was a graduate of Titusville High School. She retired from United Space Alliance after 30 yrs of employment at The Kennedy Space Center where she earned the most prestigious, Silver Snoopy Award and Space Flight Awareness Honoree Award. Juanita volunteered much time and numerous services as well as her passion for photography to North Brevard Charities. She is survived by her long time soul mate Paul P Tzareff Jr, Sons Ken LaFountain (Mary Beth), Dwain Pittman, daughters Dawn Ford (Jim) and Scotti Anthony (Andy), fifteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Jon Melton (Jo Ann) and Sister Theresa May (Steve) as well as many extended family members from Juanita's and Paul's families. She was preceded in death by her parents and Sister Krista Jean Melton. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 6, 2016 at 6:00PM, North Brevard Funeral Home, 1450 Norwood Avenue, Titusville, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Brevard Charities in Juanita's memory at 4475 South Hopkins Avenue, Titusville, FL 32780

Scotti & Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Nita's death. She was a remarkable lady. I had the privilege to know Nita outside of the workplace as a friend; I was humbled by her kindness and compassion to everyone around her, especially her family.
As far as the workplace, Nita was focused on the good of the company. She was a computer whiz and an outstanding photographer. Nita was always willing to go the extra mile for anyone that worked with her.
Please accept my sincere condolences for you and the family. Nita will be greatly missed. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this difficult time.
