Uncle Rick, I think I'm ready to do this now...The last day I spent with you, you called me Amber D. That moment took me back so many years, that's what you always called me when I was little and I will always keep that memory in my heart. You were there for me when my own father wasn't and I will never forget that! I love you and miss you so much, and wish I had gotten to spend more time with you before God took you. I am forever grateful for that last Saturday, though! Enjoy your time with Grandma, give her my love and I know one day all of us that love you both so much will be with you again...until then...you are in my memories and forever in my heart!

Our condolences go out to the entire Apsey family. Even though we didn't get an opportunity to know Rick as well as we would have liked to, we are close to the rest of the family. You have a remarkable father, wonderful sisters, and adorable, loving, caring children who miss you very much. We know you're at peace and with your mother now with no more pain, and are watching over everyone blessing and keeping them safe. With the legacy's you've left behind, you must have been a remarkable man and just know how much everyone loved you and are keeping you in their hearts. No one can take that away.

I didnt get to say goodbye to you Dad or a chance to say how much it meant to me that you loved me and treated me like one of your own. I have so many great memories with you and I will cherish them forever. I'm so lucky to have been apart of your life and I know one day I will get to hug you again and tell you I love you. Until that day I promise to watch over Brittany and Nathaniel and be there for them whenever they may need me.

Rick we all love you and miss you. We know that you are in heaven with Mom and looking down on all of us. We will always miss you, but you will always be in our heart. Know that we loved you dearly and would have been there with you had we been allowed to....there is no doubt in my heart that you know that. Dad continues to say that "he lost his best friend!" It makes me sad for him....he took your loss so hard. Your children love you so much, we promise to stay in their lives and make sure that they are okay in life. I am so glad for my last week I was allowed to have with you. You are forever in our hearts and when our time comes we will see you in heaven.

Love your big sister, Linda Richardson
