Isaiah Marks Obituary

ISAIAH MARKS - PALM BAY - Isaiah Omar Marks, 18, of Palm Bay died Thursday, January 8, 2009. Isaiah was born April 26, 1990 in Hopkinsville, KY to Mary Pollard and Henry Marks, Jr. He graduated from Palm Bay High School in May of 2008 and was a member of Truth Revealed Ministries of Palm Bay. He enjoyed working on computers and aspired to become a computer graphic designer. He is survived by his mother, Mary Pollard and father, Henry Marks, Jr.; guardians, Aunt and Uncle Jackie and Robert Wadlington; devoted grandfather, Henry Marks Sr.(Lee); brothers; Matthew Ealy, Gabriel Ealy, Adrian Pollard; aunts, Deborah (Damon) Liggins, Ruby Hopkins, Gail (Louis) White; uncles, RD Pollard, Victor Pollard, Greg Marks, Victor Marks; nephews, Qyisheant Ealy, Ja'Kari Ealy, Mekhi Ealy; nieces, Queanna Ealy, Gabrielle Ealy. The funeral will be Thursday, at 1 p.m. at Truth Revealed Ministries in Palm Bay. Buggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I didn't find out about Isaiah's death until mid-February 2009. Before I moved to North Carolina, me and Isaiah were like best friends in the 7th and 8th grade at Stone Middle School. I remember him with that huge afro, and the biggest smile one could ever have. I just always knew that he would be around much longer than he was, and we continue to remain the best of friends.

I just want to say, Isaiah, my brother and friend, I'll never forget you!

My heart is absolutely broken over losing you, Isaiah. I literally never saw you without a smile. Your positive attitude and kind words changed the entire mood of the classroom last year. Students like you got me through my first year teaching.

The kindness you showed to everyone you met was a shining example of the way we should all treat each other. This world was better just because you were in it.

If I had one more chance, I'd tell you how much I believe in you, that I know you'll be great, and give you a big hug.

Rest in peace Isaiah.

isaiah.. i miss you so much. every time i think about you it brings tears to my eyes because i knew you so well you were just so amazing and had heart of gold. ive known you since 8th grade and though i left palm bay high before u and we may not have talked much, when we did talk it was like time was never lost. i love you and miss you!!!

I never met Isaiah but my daughter worked with him. She was devestated to say the least when this tragedy happened to her good friend. She speaks highly of him and tells hilarious stories of the times they spent together at work, she said he was one of the kindest people she has every met with a smile that would light up a room. I am sorry I never got to meet this angel. I pray that God gives you strength and grace to get through this time in your life. God bless you and know that you have a guardian angel of your very own looking down on you from Heaven. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Isaiah and my son wrote books together in the 4th grade. Their imagination and enthusiasm was impressive. Isaiah was a polite, kind and fun loving boy. He and Kyle had some good times together. We lost touch over the years but the fond memories remain. Isaiah, may God wrap you in his loving arms and give strength to your family as they suffer this terrible loss.
