Norman Bamberg Obituary
Doctor Norman Bruce Bamberg went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Titusville, Florida.
Norman was a native of Miami and graduated from the University of Miami Medical School in 1977. He was a Board Certified Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Department of Radiation Oncology at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Miami Beach, for 14 years. For the past 4 years he has served as the Administrative Director of The Space Coast Medical Center of Titusville.
Norman was a loving husband, father, and brother, and an admirable and dedicated physician who took great care to provide various and alternative treatments for his patients. Norman was passionate about health, writing, traveling, Jack Kerouac, surfing, and Bob Dylan. He will be dearly missed.
Dr. Bamberg is survived by his wife, Lindsey; his daughters, Alicia and Stephany; sons, Alan, Cary and Spencer; grandchildren, Aubrey, Carrington and Simon; and brothers, Matthew and Louis; and sister-in-law, Andrea; and niece and nephew, Heather and Eli Bamberg.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, located at 207 Ojibway Avenue, Titusville, FL 32780.

Norman, I miss you so much. I still have the Grateful Dead bottle of wine you were so excited to drink with me. I am still hurting and don't know if that will ever end. Everyone says I need to move on, but I am still in shock. I find solace in the Higher Being you struggled to reckon with and I try to be light-hearted and whimsical in everything, as you were, so I can keep your quiet, gentle smirk and giggle always in my ear. I love and miss you.

I just found out about this. I worked with Dr. Bamberg at Mt. Sinai Miami for many years back in the 1980's with Dr. Toonkel and the late Dr. Fix. I am shocked to learn this. One of the bright spots of my life was working at MSMC and Dr. Bamberg always made work a lot of fun. He should rest in peace and his family know of only happiness. Your old radio buddy Al Gordon misses you Dr. B!!!

Wow I just got off the phone w stephany and I was completely stunned to learn of Dr Bamberg's sudden passing. I just thought about him last week as I was playing poker at Caesar's Palace. It reminded me of the last time he was in Las Vegas and we played there. My thoughts go out to his entire family. He was such a sharp guy and had a lasting impression on me as I'm sure he had on many others. He left this world too soon and for that I'm truly sorry to all of you that were close to him. Rip.

Dr. Bamberg will be missed so much. He helped me overcome my opiate dependency and assisted me with finances regarding my medications. He is an angel, while on earth he went to extremes to help his patients and fellow man. I know he is in Heaven doing the same thing. There are many angels walking among us and it was his time to return home, his work on Earth was done. My mother Dottie and myself thought of him as the best doctor in the world! He change my life! Lindsay, my prayers are with you. The two of you saved my life. Love and peace be with you. I just found out so forgive my lateness.

I am still so shocked that the world has lost one of the most wonderful men I have ever known. To Lindsay, and the rest of the family, my heart goes out to you every single day. I sincerely hope that as the days go by, it gets a little easier to be without this great man. He took wonderful care of me for almost 2 yrs. I will never forget him.

As I just heard of Dr. Bamberg's untimely passing I was greatful to find this site to send my condolences to his family. My mother passed on 5/24/12.. And I really wanted to hear Dr. Bamberg's advise to me on how I could better cope w/ my loss. Sadly that will never happen. He always encouraged me to pray!! Mrs. Bamberg and his children must be so proud of the legacy he's left. I can honestly say I've never read so many wonderful things written about a man.. And definetly not a physican! He was all those things I've read and so much more. I can't imagine what it was like to have him as a family memeber. Of course he was compasionate, caring, loving, godly, but Never ever passing judgement on anyone is my best thought of him. That is a rare trait!! He saw everyone as Gods children and wanted to leave this world better than he found it. And I believe he suceeded in that. After my first few conversations with him.. I told my husband I'd like him to be my Dad :) that's just the way he was.. Always giving me caring fatherly advise. I can't imagine what you all are going through but Find comfort in knowing what an impression your husband, father, uncle, nephew and cousin left on all who met him. Dr Bamberg is one of the best Drs ever! A VERY caring man would NEVER minding sending time with me to figure out the newest and best treatments. I only trusted 2 drs my oncologist and Dr B. I really cannot believe he pasted at such a young age. May he forever rest in peace. His family has one of the best angels ever!

I was only a patient of his for a few months but I truelly believe he held my issues to heart. He was extremely a pleasant and listening person. my heart goes out to his family and friends as I know he was a wonderful God loving man.

I was a patient of Dr. Bamberg's for two years and he was a really great man! I'm dying from a slow genetic disorder and he did all he could to keep me comfortable. I doubt I will ever meet a Better more spiritual man, muchless a better and more caring Dr.

I was extremly shocked to hear about the loss of Dr.Bamberg. He was such a great wonderful, caring doctor you were the only doctor who truely took the time to listen to my health issues you are the only reason I am able to get around day to day. I just heard about Dr. Bamberg's passing I was so shocked. My deepest sympothies go out to his family and friends. I will miss him as will many other patients he had. His wife Lindsay always listened to me when I went in for my accupuncture as did he no matter what the problem was I always left there happy. I pray his family finds comfort in the time they had with such a caring person.

I knew Dr. B! He was a very passionate, healthy, wonderful acupuncture specialist! He taught me how to over come and block things that had happen to me in my life, as an amazing psychologist! Dr. Bamberg, you many altenative avenues to help diminish my cronic pain. You just didnt give me an aspirin and say see you next month. You/ we together tried many alternatives and you explained to me the good popionts and the possable side affects but you worked with me and for that I and greatfull there are MD's around that still care and just throw you a med and say see you next time. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bamberg for the last four and a half years. He was unlike any doctor I have ever met or worked with before. The amount of care and passion he had for his job will leave a lasting memory on everyone he treated. There are so many things about him I will miss. The outpouring of love from the patients at our office has been very special and I know he cared for them all deeply. To his family I am deeply saddened for your loss, he is now an angel to look over and protect us all.

I miss my father. To everyone else he was Dr. Bamberg, to me, he was Papy... My whole life, he was always proud of me no matter what. I just moved to Orlando in hopes that we could spend more time together, but he left me. Now there are no more words to say, just a big hole in my heart.

I cannot express the sadness I felt when I heard of Dr. Bamberg's passing. He was a thoughtful and caring doctor who for years helped with the chronic pain issues I suffer with daily. Rest in Peace, dear Dr. Bamberg. Thank you for the time you spent with me as your patient. I, too, want to extend sincere sympathy to Mrs. Bamberg, who also is an inspiration to me as she too helped me battle the unique pain that ravaged my body day after day as an amputee. Through the kindness & devotion of Dr. Bamberg, I finally am able to live the 'quality of life' that was so elusive to me before Dr. Bamberg's persistant dedication to find a way to conquer it...and he did!
