Michael Whitehurst Obituary

Michael Eugene Whitehurst, born on October 26, 1949, died suddenly at home, on April 17, 2013 of natural causes. He grew up in Eau Gallie and graduated from Eau Gallie High School, in 1967.

In his younger days, he was on the Melbourne Police force before going to work at KSC for McDonnel Douglas. He also worked in Houston, TX during the oil boom, as a machinist. For the latter part of his life, he was a Support Engineer and was employed at Dictaphone/Nuance.

His closest survivors include his mother, Virginia Supernaugh; two younger brothers, Marshal Scott and Larry Whitehurst; his two beloved dogs, Niki and Molly; and eight grand and great-grand nephews and nieces.

Michael was a born again Christian and loved the Lord. His wishes were to be cremated, with no services.

He wished for no flowers, but instead, for all who might want to show an act of kindness to please donate a contribution in Michael's memory to: South Animal Care Center, at 1500 W. Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne, FL, 32935.
