Lawrence Alan (Larry) Gardner, 56, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, June 17th. Larry was born on October 9th, 1960, in Melbourne, Florida, and was a lifelong resident. He is survived by his mother and father Nancy and Paul Gardner, his sister Norma Padgett and her husband Doug, three nieces Rikki, Jamie and Haley, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great nephews and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister Paula Poole. Larry was a 1978 graduate of Palm Bay High School. As a young man he enjoyed surfing and traveling the Western U.S. and Mexico. He spent many years commercial fishing the Indian River with his father and uncle. He loved the outdoors and nature and was an avid Florida Gators fan. More than anything, and what he enjoyed the most, was spending time with his family....all of whom will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Brownlie-Maxwell Chapel.

I grew up with Larry. I was unaware of his passing. My deepest condolence to his family. He'll surely be missed

I am very sorry to hear about Larry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. I remember Larry from when we were kids playing at George and Peggy's house. He was such a nice person. He will be missed.

Many happy memories of my childhood with Larry on the fishing dock in Malabar of all the fish frys and playing in the water . Daddy ( Harry Griffith ) loved Paul , Nancy and family .
