I only had the opportunity to meet Martha the few times she made it to West Side Weavers. She was always so interested in what others were doing, and it was inspiring to hear others talk about what they had learned from Martha. My thoughts go out to Norman and her family. She will be missed.

Dear Norman and family,
The sad news about Martha's passing made me contemplate of the great weaving friends I found in Houston. I have fond memories of the West Side Weavers' meeting in your house and mine where Martha could join us together with Chris. I still have supplies from her stash which I will even treasure more now. They'll make me think of her when I weave or felt with it.
May you all be at peace!

Dear Mr. Norman Morse and family,
Whilst browsing I came across this obituary. I am surprised and sad to note that Mrs. Morse has passed on and am so sorry for your loss. I have no words other than to describe the wonderful memories of both of you and how good you were to Russ and myself and even helped us beyond expectations , so that we could have a wonderful and memorable wedding and reception in your St Louis home.(1974)
Berta Kapoor and I recently mentioned you two with great love and fondness and wondered how we could find you! Dear ones, we love and appreciate you and I still remember visiting you in your Houston home. We recently became grandparents and I dug out a baby blanket that Mrs. Morse had given me for Alicia our daughter. What precious memories!!
Thank you for being you!
Please know that we will pray for God to bless you and your family members with His comfort and peace that passes understanding.

With great sadness, I heard of Martha's passing. I met her on a Shell interview trip back in 1969. She renewed my interest in weaving and she has influenced my work through all these years. Rest in peace Martha, no broken warp threads or snarled yarns will bother you again. My love to Norman and Martha's loving family.
