Albert Colf Obituary
Friends may call Tuesday (March 19) from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Shuman Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1650 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
Albert was a member of the Carpenters Union #85 in Rochester for 30 years. He and his wife, Cassie, loved to travel. Albert was an avid bowler.
Albert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Cassie; one son, William (Fran) Colf; one daughter, Judy (Carlos) Chang; foster-son, Bob Bishop; two daughters-in-law, Joan and Barb Colf; three brothers, James, Kenneth (Mary) and Harold (Barbara) Colf; one sister, Mary (Gil) Floyd; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn and June Colf; and several grand, great and great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sons, Albert Jr., Larry and Dennis "Skip" Colf; four brothers, Fred, Donald, William and Alton; and one sister, Sarah Johns.

I always said Uncle Al was my "favorite Yankee." He certainly was, and I always looked forward to he and Aunt Cassie making their annual trip to Georgia. He would almost break my hand with that killer grip he had, something he never lost even after he passed 90. I enjoyed his stories and sharing jokes, but most of all he was a kind and compassionate man and it was an honor to have known him all of my 38 years. I will miss him, and I know all of you will. Praying for peace as you mourn his passing.
