BRENT LANTZ Obituary

BRENT A. LANTZ, 52, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Kendall-ville, Ind., Brent was a graduate of Northrop High School in 1982 and Indiana State University in 1986, where he was active in Theta Chi Fraternity and the Blue Beret Leadership Program. Brent worked as a financial analyst with Lutheran Health Network. Following college graduation, he was employed as a Relocation Services Administrator at SIRVA. He was a lifelong member of North Christian Church, having served most recently as a deacon. Brent enjoyed running in the Fort4Fitness with his son Eli. He loved playing basketball and coaching Eli's baseball team. He enjoyed Notre Dame football, IU basketball, and was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Janet Lantz; son, Eli Lantz; father, Jack (Jenny) Lantz; mother, Kay Lantz; brother, Kirby (Edie) Lantz; niece, Amy Lantz; brother-in-law, Jeff (Marilyn) Yoss; nephew, Ben Yoss; and the four recipients of Brent's donated organs. Memorial service is 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling from 1 to 4 p.m. The Rev. Kate Penney officiating. No words can ease the suffering of a life lost too soon. Brent's legacy will live on in the fine young man that Eli has grown to become.
