Dearest cousin--we love you and your family so much. In later years I wasn't as close to you as we were in childhood. You were our favorite and most fun cousins! We idolized you and bought into all of your crazy schemes no matter how outlandish. I remember playing spaceship in the furnace room and watching meteor showers from your roof deck on Salmon Falls Road and the night your Mom rotated the remote TV antenae and we thought the martians had landed! We picked blueberries in the backyard and your Mom baked blueberry pie and made beefaroni. We jumped from lofts in neighboring hay barns and enjoyed the best of country life when we stayed with you.

We enjoyed Mistys at the Dairy Queen and maple squares at the town cafe. We went boating with your Dad, played badminton (over the cesspool-ha). We watched you play tennis with the Spaulding High prom queens and helped you build a tree house and a pole vault field.

We performed punative clean-up chores after waking your mother in the middle of the night and she woke us up early banging pots and pans. How many times did we play the record Johnny Angel?

To the Topliffe family - I grew up around the corner from Mr. Topliffe, one of the gaggle of Burrows girls on the Hare Road. I will always remember him as a very kind and patient man, who never seemed bothered by all of us girls and our questions. I am truly sorry for your loss. I wish you much strength as you travel this personal and difficult road and hope that fond memories give you strength in the days ahead. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

To All of the Family and especially whitney....

I have known David since high school. We shared so many times together as couples and neighbors. David was always good for a laugh.....he always found laughter and humor in life. His special smile would light up a room... I didnt see Dave for years when I moved to Florida. I knew he spent time in Florida, not knowing it was the next town to me. I am happy to say that I saw Dave last year at a wake of someone that was so special to Dave and myself. He looked the same, and still laughing and joking. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of unexpected loss. He will be missed by many. Whitney you were the love of his life. He talked about you with such pride and love. Treasure those special moments that you shared together.
Rest in Peace my friend. Our love is with you.

Whitney and Family,

We will always remember yoru dad for his kindness and his wit. He was a great guy and a wise man. He loved you dearly and knew he was loved dearly by you. He lived life with gusto and as much as it hurts to lose him way too soon, be confident that he lived a full life and that he would want you to do the same. May you find peace of heart and mind in this and comfort in the knowlege that you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many during this difficult time.

Uncle Dave,

My heart hurts so bad that you were taken away so unexpectedly but I am so thankful for the time we did spend together. Thank you so much for all of your love and laughter you shared with all of us. You were a wonderful father, spouse, brother, uncle and friend. You will be missed by soooo many people but I know I will see you again when God decides it's my time and I will be looking for your big smile at the gates. Please say hello to Grammy, Grampa, Ronnie and Michael for me and give them the biggest hug that my only my Uncle Dave can give! Love you forever and ever!
