He was born in Sanford, Maine, on May 21, 1943. He lived in Rochester and Milton, N.H., most of his life and attended Rochester schools.

He worked at shoe shops in his early years and then became a maintenance worker for Gonic Mills and Thompson Center Arms.

One of his loves was watching NASCAR racing with his favorite driver, Jimmy Johnson. He also loved the Patriots and Red Sox. He loved camping and spending time with his grandchildren and was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed.

He was predeceased by one son, Timothy E. Bilodeau, on April 1, 2005.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Milton Mills cemetery on July 30 for both Richard Bilodeau, and his son, Timothy E. Bilodeau. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Middleton Town Hall.

Barbara,
May you always remember & cherish the many memories of your wonderful husband Richard--May God, your family, friends, & Dick watching over you, help you through the healing process, and the pain. Rest in Peace Mr. Richard Bilodeau

Jay,
Race Day, Jimmie Johnson or Tony Stewart? Well, I have to say that 48 came through much more than 20 or 14. And so did your dad! I know how much you loved him through your memories, and I wish you did not have to face this great loss of your father. Please, feel the pain, cry, laugh & celebrate his memory. Love you always, Rae Alison

I missed a lot of time with my Uncle and my Aunt and cousins but in my 20's I moved to Milton NH with my boys and it was the best move I made because I got the chance to re-connect with my family! I can't imagine what my life would be like today had I not made that change in my life, I truly enjoyed getting to know my Aunt and Uncle and the rest of my family that I had been away from for so long! I loved going to visit and sit with auntie and Uncle and hearing story's of the past and just enjoying each other's company, Uncle Dickie I love you so much and you will forever be in my heart, all the memories will be cherished and all the love will always be felt!! I also want to send my condolences to my Aunt Barbara and my cousins as well as my mother Theresa Hurd, his sister! This is not just my loss but the loss of the whole Bilodeau and Patch family's, I love you all! Uncle Dickie I hope you can now find some kind of peace and that you are with mem and pep and Timmy!! You will be loved and missed by so many!

I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR HUSBAND & FATHER. THE PICTURE THAT YOU POSTED OF DICK TRULY CAPTURES WHO HE WAS.
THEY SAY A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS AND THIS IS TRUE. THAT CONTAGIOUS SMILE I SEE ON HIS FACE STILL WARMS MY HEART. HIS UNIQUE WIT AND THE WAY HE LAUGHED; WITH HIS WHOLE HEART & SOUL WILL FOREVER BE ETCHED IN OUR HEARTS.
RIP, MY DEAR COUSIN. RIP
LOVE,SHERI
