Richard Gaver Obituary
Born on August 16, 1948 in Boyds, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Harold Gaver, Sr. and Nellie Crilly Gaver. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gaver of 29 years. He worked in the Asphalt industry most of life. When he retired he became a Pastor. He devoted most of his time at the Church especially where he was the Pastor at Grace Bible Church of Fairfield, PA. He collected many things and especially cars including Mopar. He was the "Jack of all Trades" with a deep passion for witnessing for Christ. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Gaver and wife Tara of Gatlinberg, TN, Richard Gaver, Jr. of Thurmont; step-son Charles Snedegar and wife Amanda and CJ Snedegar of Thurmont ; four daughters Sherry Abrecht of Emmitsburg, Brandy James and husband Eric of Hagerstown, Ginger Osborne and husband Richard of Thurmont, Molly Carrera and husband Danny of Smithsburg and step-daughter Brandy Beall and husband Josh of Thurmont. Pastor Gaver is survived by 22 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two sisters Ara (Sis) DeVinney and Mary Whipp both of Emmitsburg
He is proceeded in death by three sisters, two brothers and one infant granddaughter.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at 1pm at Grace Bible Church, 2430 Tract Rd, Fairfield, PA, 17320.

Well My Dad we lost Greasy yesterday. Richard is hurting and I know there's not much I can do to help him. I know just how he feels. We really weren't expecting to lose him beings he's always pulled through everything he's ever faced but I guess it was his time just as it was yours whether we were ready to lose you or not. You and Greasy being friends was how I met Richard and it's one of the best things that's ever happened to me . I remember we only went on a date becuz you asked him for me.
