Raymond Free Obituary
He was born April 30, 1947 in Frederick. He was the son of the late Raymond Parker and M. Rosalind Free.
He graduated from Frederick High School. He was self employed and ran a successful construction business for almost 40 years before his diagnosis. He was a member of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Utica. He was an active member of the Elks Club and enjoyed participating in as many car shows as he could. His hobbies included collecting classic cars and playing his guitars.
He was the loving husband of Linda Atkins Free, his wife of 49 years. Left to cherish his memories are daughters Christine Souders (Dave) of Leesburg, Virginia, Diana DiRubbo of Syracuse, New York, and son Brian Free of Lewistown, Md., 2 granddaughters Madison Souders and Ava DiRubbo, a sister Mary Kruft (Charles) of Lutherville, Md and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Harley and Bailey, his beloved dogs, are already missing his love and care.
A private interment will be at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
A celebration of his life will be held as an open house at his home in Walkersville on Saturday, November 28 from 1 – 5 pm.
If desired, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Frederick County Humane Society, 1832 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick, Md 21702
His mind is at ease, his soul is at rest, we will always remember how truly we were blessed to have had him in our lives.

Dear Linda & family, So sorry to hear of Parkers passing. He finished our basement and was probably one of the first he did. He always did a terrific job. Remember his mom & dad well. So sorry to hear of your loss. We always saw you at the Elks and Legion having great times with friends. Parker was always nice and had a great smile.
