Nancy Ocker Obituary
Nancy was born July 22, 1947 in Pulaski, VA to William Clarence Chrisley and Dorothy Ruth Farmer Chrisley (both deceased).
Nancy was a 1969 graduate of Radford College majoring in Biology and Teaching. She taught school for over 20 years (high school and elementary) and Sunday School (4 and 5 year olds) at Frederick Baptist Church with a heart for children.
Nancy was married to Edward "Ed" Ocker on December 10, 1967. She was an example of a Proverbs 31 wife, enjoying home, family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ed; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Barry Edward Ocker and wife Kristy of Clinton, MD; Jason William Ocker and wife Lindsey of Nashua, NH; Kevin Matthew Ocker of Knoxville, MD; and Robert "Bobby" Ocker of Frederick, MD; a sister, Norma Kay Cranston and husband Karl of Hiwassee, VA; a brother, William "Buddy" Chrisley of Pulaski, VA; and eight grandchildren that she adored and loved: Chrisley, Kayley, Kiley, Riley, Carley, Esme, Kinley, and Hazel.
Her youngest brother Robert Chrisley of Alba, TX predeceased her in 2013.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 21st, at Frederick Baptist Church, 5305 Mt Zion Road, Frederick, MD, with Pastor John Seay officiating. Interment following the service to be at Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick, MD. A lunch for family and friends will be held afterwards at Frederick Baptist Church in the fellowship hall.
Memorials can be made to Frederick Baptist Church (Building Fund) in lieu of flowers. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.staufferfuneralhome.com.
