ALBERT L. HARBIN

Al Harbin passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the age of 82. He was born in Crystal City, Mo, on April 2, 1930, served in the Navy for four years, and has been a resident of Fresno since 1951. Al worked in the construction field for over 60 years, of which he was a foreman for Grove Built Homes for 26 years before going into business for himself as Harbin Construction, later becoming partners with his son Craig. He mentored many young men who went on to become great craftsmen themselves. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, devoting many hours to help at the church he attended with building projects and anything else that was asked of him. He sang in the church choir for 57 years, and will be missed by many. He is preceded in death by Mayree Harbin, his wife of 52 years. He is survived by his wife, Jean Harbin; daughter, Debra Harbin Clymore and her husband Richard; son, Craig Harbin and his wife Melanie; granddaughter, Krystle Wertenberger and her husband Jayson; grandson, Davin Clymore; granddaughter, Kylie Harbin; great-grandson, Sawyer Wertenberger and many other loving family members and friends. A Celebration of life will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Al's memory may be made to Hope Lutheran Church 364 E.
