Kimberly Smith Obituary

Kimberly LeAnne Elrod Smith, 40, left this Earth on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, following an extended illness.
Kim was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She graduated from West End High School in 1994. She married her husband, Brad Smith, the same year. Her son, Hunter was born in 1995. Kim's love for her family and friends was evident. Her nieces and great-nephew were her "sweet babies." Kim's joy and zest for life was infectious. Her laughter came from her soul and would echo throughout any room.
She is survived by her husband, Brad Smith; son, Hunter Smith (fiancée Kayla); mother, Ruby Cleveland Hill; father, Ray Elrod (Donna); sister, Vanessa Elrod Brown (J. Neil); brother, Jonathan (fiancée Tiffany); mother- and father-in-law, David and Barbara Smith; brothers-in-law, Joey Mosley and Mark Smith; four nieces; one great-nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her "other" Dad, Robert Hill, and her sister, Khristy Elrod Mosley.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at Lemley Funeral Chapel in Oneonta. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lemley Funeral Chapel.
The family extends a special thanks to all who have shown their love and compassion. Lemley Funeral Home and Crematory directing.

I have soooo many wonderful memories of Kim. She was the very best friend I ever had in the world to this day. And we were closer than sisters. I loved her more than anything. I'm so sorry Kim that I was not there, I moved away, and didn't know where you were. I tried to find you. I hope you know in Heaven how much I've missed you and how much I've cried. You are safe and in the arms of Jesus and not in pain or sick anymore. When I leave this world, please come with my Grandmother and Grandaddy to get me. Fly high angel! I love you!
