Grace Jernigan Obituary

JERNIGAN, GRACE H.

Grace H. Jernigan, age 86 of Forsyth, GA passed away on Tuesday May 31, 2011 in Forsyth, GA. Mrs. Jernigan was born in Jacksonville, FL on March 10, 1925. She earned a Bachelor's degree in nursing from Louisiana State University, worked as a registered nurse and taught nursing at Lake City junior college. She also earned a Master's degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Mrs. Jernigan was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Jernigan, and is survived by her daughter Nancy Jernigan of Tampa, FL, sons Carl Jernigan of Alachua, FL, Robert Jernigan of Alachua, FL, Tommy Jernigan of Forsyth, GA, and Paul Jernigan of Tallahassee, FL, her brother Russell D. Horn, SR. of Jacksonville, FL, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held at Milam Funeral Home from 9:30 until 11:00 AM on Saturday June 4, 2011, with Graveside Services following at 11:30 AM at Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to United Hospice 2484 Ingleside Avenue Building - B Macon, GA 31204.
