JOANN BISHOP Obituary
O'DONNELL
JoAnn O'Donnell Bishop, 82, of Gainesville, Florida, died surrounded by family in her home June 4th. She was preceded in death at an early age by her first husband Fondren Lack Mitchell, and in 2004 by her husband of 48 years, Bernays Emery "Buster" Bishop, her everlasting love. JoAnn was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, Class of 1948, attended F.S.C.W. (Florida State College for Women), where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Master's Degree in Education, Specializing in reading, and was an Alachua County teacher for nearly 40 years. She was a member of the Junior League of Gainesville and the Patio Club.
She is survived by her four children, Nancy Kesl of Gainesville, Martha (Dan) Jones of Greensboro, GA, Emery (Janis) Bishop of Gainesville, Ginny (Greg) Young of San Marcos, CA; and six grandchildren Courtney Jones Nixon, Douglas Jones, Joanna Jones, Mitchell Jones, Charlotte Kesl, Ramsey Young; and 5 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation at Milam Funeral Home 5:30pm-7pm on Tuesday evening and the funeral will be Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Buster Bishop Endowment through the University of Florida Athletic Association or Haven Hospice. Arrangements are under the care of MILAM FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 311 S. Main ST, GAINESVILLE, FL 32601. 352-376-5361.

Amy and I are so saddened in one sense to hear of Joanne's passing, however we delight in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior and reunited with the love of her life. Godspeed to all of the Bishop children and grandchildren!!
